Banned From H.E.L.L. is a Detroit band paying tribute to the Dio years of the legendary metal band Black Sabbath. It prides itself on recreating the true Black Sabbath Heaven & Hell experience, capturing its sound and visual essence, in an unforgettable live performance.

The band formed after Ronnie’s untimely death in 2010, as the result of a group of area musicians coming together on a whim to perform a handful of tunes dedicated to their fallen hero. The collaboration was so electric, it built a demand for more shows and Banned From H.E.L.L. was born.

Since that time, the band has taken efforts to drill down that Dio-era sound capturing Ronnie’s haunting vocals, Iommi’s signature guitar tones and the thunderous rhythm section that Sabbath is known for.

A series of summer festival appearances, including Harley Fest and Detroit Bike Week, Bay City Fireworks, the AuSable River Boat Cruise, that Metal Show with Eddie Trunk and a Detroit Music Award nomination have helped solidify the band as the area’s premiere Dio-era Black Sabbath tribute.

A single of “Children of the Sea” was recorded and issued in 2015 and marks the band’s debut recorded effort.

We have been together as a Black Sabbath & Heaven & Hell Tribute band since the winter of 2007. Our first show was in May of that year. We have been playing gigs consistently since then.

We are dedicated to reproducing the sound and visual essence of BLACK SABBATH and HEAVEN & HELL with Ronnie James Dio from their beginning in 1970 all the way to their last album in 2009.

BANNED FROM E.A.R.T.H. & H.E.L.L.has been described by audience members as the band that will blow you away with there exciting energetic stage show, along with the sights and sounds that leave you believing that you had just seen the Godfathers of Metal at work on stage.

BANNED FROM E.A.R.T.H. & H.E.L.L prides themselves on recreating the true sound of the Rock and Roll hall of fame band BLACK SABBATH and HEAVEN & HELL. You will see and hear an energetic stage show features a “Crazy” Ozzy impersonator who sounds shockingly close to the Ozzman of the 1970's, power house vocals from Veteran Rocker Rachel May singing Ronnie James Dio like no other living human can, guitar tones that will make you believe that the Metal God Toni Iommi has just entered the room, heavy dynamic drums that bring you deep inside the soul and rhythm of a Bill Ward masterpiece, and bass virtuosity that is brimming over with energy in only the way Geezer Butler could do it.
